Henry V (born 1386) lived for only 36 years, but had an extraordinarily eventful career. The eldest son of Henry IV, He fought as a teenager against Owain Glyndwr’s Welsh revolt, and against Percy in Northumberland.

Dan Jones (born 1981) is popular British historian and broadcaster. His first history book, published in 2009, was a history of the English Peasans’ Revolt of 1381. His next book, which was highly successful, was a history of the Plantagenet kings of England, covering the period from Henry II to Richard II. Overall he has published fifteen books, with combined sales of over one million. Jones was educated at Pembroke College Cambridge, where he obtained a First Class degree in history.
